Gont is a mountain island rising out of the sea northeast of Havnor. It is also here where the great wizard and Archmage Ged lived when he was a boy. During the midst of his youth after receiving some knowledge of magic from his aunt, the island was attacked by Kargad Raiders, but he single handedly defended his village by weaving a thick mist. Also, Gont is rumored to be the birthplace of Wizards and their art. Gont is also located not far west from the Kargad Lands and north of Torheven. It is also located south of Orandrad. It is also near the Gontish Sea.
